Painting projects should free your creative spirit and enable you to express your feelings and ideas, but in most cases all you’ll wind up doing will be to paint your walls in a monochromatic hue. It’s a shame that we don’t get the chance to do more than that, but if you take a look at the bigger picture, few will fancy the idea of watching their silly designs day after day. Regardless of how you plan on undertaking the painting project, make sure you have some drop cloth within reach.
These are made from quality canvas and are perfect when you need protection against paint spills, during painting and cleaning. Things can get messy sometimes and the full panel drop cloth will absorb all the leaks, and they can be washed after the operation is complete and used repeatedly. In their absence, the furniture and upholstery could suffer severe damage, which is a risk not worth taking given the low costs of drop cloth.
Poly tarps can be used with just as much success, although they were not created specifically for this job. Versatility and the low price makes them the ideal tarps for a large variety of activities, although they won’t succeed in preventing the paint from soaking. The same applies to the white canvas tarps, which are made of 100% cotton canvas hence very permeable for paint and other liquids. In fact, they are not even recommended for any indoor activity, due to their initial scent.
